S&L's Participation in WOCA 2020 | World of Concrete Asia

On December 9th, 2020, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, the much-anticipated Asian Concrete Exhibition, WOCA 2020, took place as planned. Co-sponsored by Informa Markets, the Flooring Industry Branch of China Building Materials Federation, and the Shanghai Concrete Industry Association, this event was a significant gathering in the concrete industry. S&L felt honored to be invited to participate and be a part of this remarkable occasion.

As the Asian edition of a renowned exhibition brand in the global leading concrete industry, "World of Concrete Asia" has been steadily evolving. It initially focused on concrete floor construction and has now expanded to encompass concrete facade construction. The exhibition showcases a wide array of items, including construction raw materials, concrete construction additives, concrete construction equipment, facilities, and construction material equipment.
Impressive Scale: With a vast display area of 52,000 square meters, it attracted over 600 high-quality exhibitors.
Large Audience: There were more than 37,000 buyers in attendance, making it a bustling marketplace for industry professionals.
Rich Content: It featured over 60 professional forums, serving as a one-stop exhibition platform that covered the entire spectrum of concrete, flooring, and mortar industries.

W2: Dedicated to the concrete surface area, showcasing various products and technologies related to concrete surfaces.
W3: The Floor Material Zone, where different types of floor materials were on display.
W4: The Mortar and masonry area, presenting a range of mortar and masonry products and solutions.

Exhibition Scope
The exhibition brought together nearly 600 domestic and international famous enterprises. These companies fully presented thousands of technologies and products that combined elements of technology, innovation, green practices, and cleanliness. The exhibits covered the entire industrial chain of concrete, flooring, and mortar, offering a comprehensive and in-depth look at the industry's latest advancements and innovations.
During the exhibition, there were more than 60 popular industry activities. These activities covered various topics such as concrete cracking and repair, the development of the ready-mixed mortar industry, architectural design, construction standards, and the machine-made sand industry. Some of the notable activities included:

Industry Outlook and Future Aspirations
This year, the entire industry has been severely impacted by COVID-19. However, in the second half of the year, the launch of new infrastructure and major projects across the country has given a significant boost to the industry's development. For S&L specifically, after resuming work and production in March this year, the company witnessed a remarkable breakthrough in its performance in the second half of the year.
Given the construction cycle of new infrastructure and major projects, the entire industry is expected to enjoy a period of steady growth in the coming few years.
